About the event
How does politics impact our lives as Eritreans and as Americans, and how can we all get involved in the upcoming election? Join us for a community discussion on civic engagement with Andom Ghebreghiorgis, an educator and recent candidate for U.S. Congress. One of Andom's key platforms was an opposition to foreign intervention and unncessary war, driven by his experiences as an Eritrean-American. Andom has a bachelor's degree in political science and economics from Yale University, and a master's degree in secondary special education from City College of New York.
Have questions for Andom? Please submit them by Thursday, October 1 at this link.
This event will be targeted at youth, parents, and young adults and will be a non-partisan discussion about the importance of civic engagement and how to engage in the upcoming election. The video recording will be available on YouTube after the event.
